I have written many articles on government auctions and police auctions in the past, but only as of late have I been providing specific examples of the deals that can be found at these auctions. You may of heard of rumors of the great values available at government auctions, however, seeing is believing, and since the government does not endorse the specific autos or items that are offered at the auctions, I am attempting to illustrate some of the great deals you will find there. Police and Government auctions, however, still has a popular following even though the government never spends on advertising the specific items it will be selling. The government doesn’t have much of an advertising budget and yet they still manage to quickly sell their merchandise and that’s because they have best bargains period. There is a vast difference from the retailer who has to pay for marketing, the cost of the item itself and above that they need to make a good profit. The police and government don’t have any of these costs so obviously the savings is reflected in the items price.

My research consists of using the highest rated government car auctions site that has been evaluated and reviewed on my own site mentioned in the last paragraph. Keep in mind that these specific items may no longer be available by the time you read this, but you’ll still get an idea of the vehicle discounts that are available through government auctions. * Subaru 2004 Impreza Outback 30.1K miles $3,810

So as you see the people that are attend the auctions are getting deals much better expected. There is usually a large variety of makes and models available to choose from. So how can they be sold so cheaply and where do they come from? Cars can be repossessed for a variety of reasons including unpaid debt and/or taxes, criminal involvement, etc. Chances are your car dealership is buying at least a portion of their vehicle inventory at a government auctions, and making a good margin on that purchase so here is your chance to cut out the middle-man and pocket your savings.
You should consider going to a live government auction rather than an online auction because you will have the time and opportunity to get a good look at the available vehicles. If you’re not a car expert yourself, you should bring someone along who is. Make sure you find out information concerning its quality and history. Remember, most people aren’t even aware of government and police auctions or the great values that can be found there so you can choose from a great vehicle selection one that normally would be outside your budget.
